I am very sorry to have to report that Judy passed away early yesterday morning (26th). Her
passing was very peaceful with her family at her side. Our thoughts are with Stan and family at this very sad time. Deepest condolences from all your friends at Monte Mar Bowls Club.

Judy and Stan

Hi Everybody,
I am afraid Judy,s condition has worsened. They were not able to fit a stent, which was our best hope, as the tumour had spread too much. She has now been transferred to St Johns Hospice in Moggerhanger. She is comfortable and has accepted the inevitable with great strength of character. The boys have been absolutely great and wonderful support both to their mum and to me. Sorry the news is not better.
Love to all,
Stan xxx

Tony Burchall – Horadada

It is with great regret that I inform you that Tony Burchall, a founder member and hard worker for our Club, passed away last night (Mon) after a severe short term illness. The funeral is on Thurs 20th April at 4.00pm at Campoverde Church.

Judy and Stan

Hi Everybody,
I am sorry to say the news is even worse than last time. Judy is in hospital in Bedford receiving treatment for a build up of fluid in her tummy caused by a blockage in her duodenum. She is having it drained via a tube into her stomach and is being fed via a tube which goes past the obstruction. Next week they are going to try to fit a stent and if successful, she will be able to eat again.
The visit to Cambridge was not any use as they unless wanted to consider her for clinical trials, and they considered her unsuitable. We would not have wanted that anyway.
She is now only being treated to control her symptoms as best as possible for as long as possible.
Sorry the news is not good.
Love to all,
Stan, xxxx
